Sam Spofforth

Sam Spofforth currently works as Executive Director of Central Ohio Clean Fuels Coalition. He has worked in the field of alternative fuels and transportation energy efficiency since 1999 and has nearly 20 years of management experience within the non-profit sector and government. He was instrumental in the creation and development of the Coalition as a tax-exempt non-profit organization in January 2002. He was awarded Midwest Region Clean Cities Coordinator of the Year in May of 2004 by the U.S. Department of Energy. Spofforth grew up in Ohio and returned to the state in 1999 after living and working 15 years in Washington, DC, Boston and Philadelphia. He has a B.S. from Hiram College in Northeast Ohio and earned a Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
