Training for Local Clean Cities to Build
Self-sustaining Organizations: Outreach to State Transportation
and Energy Policy Decision Makers
In May,
NCC Inc. was notified that it was awarded a grant by the federal
Department of Energy (for
the period 5/01/01 through 11/02/02)
to:
- Increase
the understanding of coordinators and other key stakeholders
about key transportation issues;
- Improve
coordinator/stakeholder knowledge about the state legislative
process, schedules, timing and activities;
- Assist
coordinators/key stakeholders to identify appropriate programs
to educate community leaders and state policy decision makers;
- Aid
coordinators/key stakeholders with the design and implementation
of targeted education and outreach programs;
- Acquaint
coordinators/key stakeholders with problems and constraints
that might be encountered;
- Advise
coordinators/key stakeholders on how to avoid or minimize
constraints.
NCC Inc.
will conduct workshops in the Department of Energy regions.
The workshops will offer learning through interaction and
class participation.
